When the spirit of fear comes, we have a choice, we either find rest, peace and joy in our Faith or we become bound, enslaved, entrapped, and filled with despair with Fear.
Don’t fear, doubt, or give up. Fear is the opposite of faith. Fight fear with faith and know that God is in control, and He will take care of you and will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Seek the Lord, and He will answer you and deliver you from all your fears (Psalm 34:4).
Be confident in who God is and in His unchangeable character. He is the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23-24). God is love, just, absolutely good, ever so faithful and He will never fail you, never leave you or forsake you and will always want the best for you in His perfect timing. As Jeremiah 29:11 AMP says, He has great plans for you, “plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love (1 John 4:18). On the onset of feeling that fearful punishment pour out your love, praise, and worship on the Lord. When you do you express your love to Him and He in return will shower you with His perfect love and only in His perfect love, fear will be casted out.
“Delighting in God’s Word leads us to delight in God, and delight in God drives away fear.”
Quote by: David Jeremiah
Don’t give in to that temptation to give up but remember when you are weak, then you are strong (2 Corinthians 12:10) and lift up your eyes to the hills from where your help and deliverance comes from, from the Lord who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2). Once we fix our focus and keep magnifying how great our God is, it would be easier for us to draw our strength and courage from Him.
Keep your believing in check daily. Are you believing the what the word of God tells you or what Satan or the world is telling you?
Jesus said it best and simply in Mark 11:22- “Have faith in God”. We are not called to have faith in our faith or other people’s faith but to have faith in God who can do all things and through Him all things are possible. By who God is and all that He has done, He has shown that He is reliable, trustworthy and faithful. All we must do is put our trust in Him like David did countless times and, in each time, God showed Himself faithful.
What are you feeding? Your faith or fear, worry, anxiety, unbelief, or doubt? It’s important to feed your soul with the word of God and not let your inside be contaminated with what’s going on, on the outside. Be cautious of what you look at and listen to because if you let it in, it could mess with your faith. Feed your faith by listening to the word through sermons or reading the Bible out loud as mentioned earlier because faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Fear is putting faith in what the enemy has to say about us. Therefore, agree and say what God says in His word and not Satan.
I urge you to stand firm and fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12).
“We have been released from the spirit of fear by the Holy Spirit, who has placed us in the body of Christ.”
Quote by: David Jeremiah
When the devil attacks and you find yourself in a fearful state tell the enemy, “I got thousands of promises and fear isn’t one!” With authority make these proclamations out loud and meditate on these scriptures:
You came near when I called on you; you said, ‘Do not fear!’ (Lamentations. 3:57)
“Do not fear, only believe.” (Mark 5:36)
May my heart not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Jesus Christ. (John 14:1)
“The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6)
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3)
I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. (Psalm 3:6)
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2)
But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side! I praise God for what he has promised; yes, I praise the Lord for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? I will fulfill my vows to you, O God,and will offer a sacrifice of thanks for your help. (Psalm 56: 3, 9-12)
Fear not, for He is with me; be not dismayed, for He is my God; He will strengthen me, He will help me, He will uphold me with His righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
Fear not, for He has redeemed me; He has called me by name, I am His. When I pass through the waters, He will be with me; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm me; when I walk through fire I shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume me. For He is the Lord my God, the Holy One of Israel, my Savior. (Isaiah 43:1-3)
I will be faithful unto death, and He will give me the crown of life. (Revelation 2:10)
