Colossians 1:27 speaks about the mystery of Christ embedded within us, believers in Jesus Christ, in our hearts which is our only hope of glory. Let us go boldly before the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us that if we only humble ourselves and pray, search for God, and turn from our wicked ways, He will hear us from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land.
Therefore, let us repent and do just as the scripture says and call for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let us call and fervently pray for a Great Revival to be released in the world, a Greater Glory and Great Outpouring of His Holy Spirit on all people and on all the land.
Joel 2:28-32 shows us some of the things God’s true prophets of now are saying, that this year the greater glory and revival will come in waves and that it has even already started. That the spirit shall fall upon all flesh, believers, and non-believers alike and we will have dreams and visions and prophecy, and we shall also see wonders in the heavens and earth. The Matthew Henry’s commentary adds that we will also receive new discoveries, many of God’s prophets have said the same and that we will see new forms of communication, new health discoveries, etc. It goes on to say that we would interpret scripture and speak of things distant and future. Matthew Henry says that the outpouring of the glory would be comfortable to the righteous and that the Lord will raise up a remnant.
As mentioned earlier, Christ in us the only hope of glory. For it is written in Haggai 2:9 KJV, “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts” and in Isaiah 60:2 KJV, “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee”. We shall receive greater glory than the earth has ever seen where He will give us peace and that no matter what happens the Lord, His glory, will be upon us, for all to see. Matthew Henry’s commentary also states that when we call on Him, we will gain knowledge of Him, faith in Him, desire toward Him, dependence on Him and a conscientious obedience to Him. Let us do our part and fast and pray for the Great Revival to come upon the earth and ask the Lord to purify and ready our hearts to receive this Great Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, a Great Global Glory, that is readily upon us.
Let us unite and pray this prayer:
Heavenly Father, I humbly and boldly come before Your throne that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need, for it is written in Hebrews 4:16. I repent of all my sins and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Father I seek You and turn from my wicked ways as it is written and promised in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that when I do this, You will hear me from heaven, forgive me and You will heal our land. Father it is also written in 2 Chronicles 2:6 that power and might are in Your hand and no one can withstand or resist You therefore move Your hand now Father, have mercy on us, save us and heal our land. I earnestly pray and call for a Great Revival, let Your Holy Spirit fall in a great outpouring upon all the land and on all people. I ask you Father to remove anything that is not of you and purify my heart. Create in me a clean heart and ready my heart to receive this Great Outpouring. I also surrender the members of my body that are instruments of righteousness, yielded to You for Your service and glory in this Great Revival and Harvest. Thank you, Father, for hearing me and answering my prayer, let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I expectantly wait for Your Great Revival, the time when we arise and shine because our light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon us (Isaiah 60:1). In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.
