Once we are good stewards of Jesus Christ and seek Him first, we will reap good fruit and prosperity and blessings will follow us. Job 22:21 AMP states, “Now yield and submit yourself to Him [agree with God and be conformed to His will] and be at peace; In this way [you will prosper and great] good will come to you. If we live a life of obedience to Him and serve Him, we will spend our days in prosperity, and our years in pleasures (Job 36:11).
2 Chronicles 20:20 shows us we are to believe in him and believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”
James 4:2-3 shows us that why we do not have is because we do not ask and when we ask, we do not receive because we ask with wrong motives- we want only what will give us pleasure. Jesus said whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mark 11:24) and if you ask for anything in His name, He will do it (John 14:14) according to His will and plan. He will also do it only because we keep His commandments and do what pleases Him (1 John 3:22).
No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Therefore, we must do what is right in God’s eyes and live righteously and uprightly which means you cannot be in a state of complaining, worry, doubt, fear or anxiety. It is imperative that we trust in the Lord that He will fulfill His promises.
Pray wholeheartedly and make your petitions known with great faith, without doubting. James 1: 6-8 explains that he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind and he should not expect to receive anything from the Lord because such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.Jeremiah 17:7-8 shows us that the man who trusts and puts his hope in the Lord will be blessed, don’t fear or be anxious because no matter the circumstances he will not cease from yielding fruit.
Proverbs 28:25 clearly states he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered. We are to walk by faith and rest in His promise of prosperity. When we do this, we allow God to move His hand and work His will in our lives.
