“You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9 NLT). It’s God’s will for His people to live in abundance and be financially prosperous. At the cross He gave us the power to get wealth. Romans 8:32 NKJV states, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Jesus came so that we may have life and that we may have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
Matthew 6:31 and 33 states, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Put Him first and prosperity amongst many other wonderful things will be added to you. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Psalm 34:10 assures us that those who passionately seek the Lord shall never lack any good thing.
Jehovah Jireh is our provider he knows our needs and desires all He requires is that we seek Him first, delight in Him and not worry or doubt Him. When we seek him diligently, we will find Him for riches and honor are with Him, His fruit is better than fine gold and He will cause those who love Him to inherit wealth, that He may fill their treasuries (Proverbs 8:17-21). Our God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11 NKJV).
3 John 2 states, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” How does our soul prosper? We draw ourselves closer to God by spending time with Him and in His word and seeking out a more intimate relationship and fellowship with Him. Joshua 1:8 states that His word should not depart from your mouth, and you should meditate on it day and night so that you will be a doer of the word for then you will make your way prosperous, and you will have good success. If you are willing and obedient to God, you shall eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19).
