I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 ESV
When Adam fell in the beginning, man died just as the Lord said, “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Genesis 2:17). We died spiritually. The Old Testament laws, in the time before Christ, shows us that we needed a savior to redeem us from sin and death and for us to be reconciled with our Heavenly Father; our own works were insufficient.
For it’s by grace you have been saved through faith and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins (Hebrew 9:22). The sacrificial shedding of the blood of animals only temporarily remitted our sins but Jesus came as a spotless lamb, a perfect and final sacrifice. Our Savior not only fully and permanently paid our debts from sins of the past, present and future but paid the price for all sicknesses and diseases by being brutally beaten, tortured and scourged to the point where many were astonished, His appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance (Isaiah 52:14).
It is with His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 and by His wounds you have been healed (1 Peter 2:24). Claim and receive your healing today. Your healing is under the atonement and your right as a born-again believer.

There were many substantial exchanges Jesus accomplished to give us at the cross, Derek Prince wonderfully illustrates this in his sermon “The Exchange At The Cross” where he overall highlights that Jesus received the evil due to us, that we might receive the good due to Him.
Aspects Of The Exchange
A. Jesus was punished that we might be forgiven (Is. 53:4–5)
B. Jesus was wounded that we might be healed (Matt. 8:16–17)
C. Jesus was made sin with our sinfulness that we might be made righteous with His
righteousness (Is. 53:10; 2 Cor. 5:21)
D. Jesus tasted death for us that we might share His life (Heb. 2:9)
E. Jesus was made a curse that we might receive the blessing (Gal. 3:13–14).
F. Jesus endured our poverty that we might share His abundance (2 Cor. 8:9 [2 Cor.
9:8; Deut. 28:47–48])
G. Jesus endured our shame that we might share His glory (Matt. 27:35–36 [Heb.
2:10])
H. Jesus endured our rejection that we might have His acceptance (Matt. 27:45–51
[Eph. 1:3–6])
Clearly, we can see here that we were bought at a price (1 Corinthians 6:20), a very expensive price at that. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Jesus willingly suffered and gave his life for us. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and are born again, you are in Christ, you are a new creation, the old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). As a new creation the Holy Spirit and His glory comes to live in you making you spiritually alive again, witnessing resurrection power, the dead coming to life.
The same God and resurrection power that brought us back alive again spiritually, is the same God, glory and power that raised Jesus from the dead and He lives in us. The Spirit that dwells within us gives us life, the flesh is no help at all (John 6:63). Being born again means we are under the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set us free from the law of sin and of death (Romans 8:2 AMP).
We are full of that same resurrection power that allows us to have power over all the power of the enemy. Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind] (1 John 4:4 AMP). Activate the power by believing and having faith and trust in God and His word.
In the life of the believer, we must above all else seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
In this life, keep seeking Him first, standing firm in the faith, putting your hope in Jesus and not in your circumstances. Consider and meditate on Jesus who was pure, blameless and sinless, endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart (Hebrews 12:3 AMP).
Keep your eyes on the cross and remember each day the exchanges of the cross and what our Savior so greatly accomplished 2,000 years ago on Calvary so that we may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10), free from sin, death, sicknesses and diseases and to grant us liberty to live in victory upon this earth. For we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:35).

With this victory and resurrection power in us we aren’t supposed to be meek or docile Christians or a punching bag for the devil. We are to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). We have dominion upon this earth because we are joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17) and since God has put everything under Jesus’ feet except Himself (1 Corinthians 15:27), everything is under our feet as well.
Satan has no power, only the power we allow him to have.
We are the Lord’s hands and feet upon this earth. Let us today make Him proud of us in heaven for what He suffered and died to give us on the cross and be the best ambassadors of Christ we can be. It is the goodness and kindness of God that brings people to repentance (Romans 2:4). Hence, through our lives, let us be an example, a vessel of his goodness, kindness, love and compassion. One of the types of love the bible talks is “agape love”, this love is what Christians should be always showing one another. According to Britannica this type of love is unselfish. Unselfish love is a choice, or rather a command given to us by Jesus and it seeks others needs above our own.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
We can only change and be a proper vessel for His glory with the Holy Spirit’s help. For it’s not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

We are flawed and imperfect beings living in an imperfect and fallen world but we, believers in Jesus Christ, are made perfect in Him. Through His death on the cross we were made perfect in God’s eyes. When God looks at us, He no longer sees our sins, but He first sees Jesus and His atonement of our sins, though our sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow (Isaiah 1:18).
When we abide in Him and His words abide in us and are illustrated in the way we live, we become doers of the word and not hearers only (James 1:22) and only then His goodness and love fill us until it overflows and affects others and the atmosphere around us. Let His word be written in your heart, hold on to it and never let it go because our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). He waits for the opportune time to steal, kill, and destroy us (John 10:10) and to especially steal the word from our hearts.

Again, keep your eyes fixed up toward Jesus and what He accomplished on the cross. Lift up your eyes to the mountains where does your help come from? Your help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2).

Let us not act as though we are still spiritually dead but alive in Christ. When you face certain situations don’t speak death and defeat but speak life. The word of God is your sword, your weapon against the enemy, use it. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Identify whatever areas you’re struggling in, find scriptures on it and decree and declare it over your situations, and you will overcome, just as He did.
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] John 16:33 AMP

Let this be a reminder for you today about all Jesus and the Father sacrificed and achieved for you, surrender yourself now to the Lord so that He can use you for His glory by making these two proclamations and prayer below.
Proclamation for Overcomers by Derek Prince: My body is a temple for the Holy Spirit redeemed, cleansed, and sanctified by the blood of Jesus. My members, the parts of my body are instruments of righteousness yielded to God for His service and for His glory. The devil has no place in me. No power over me. No unsettled claims against me. All has been settled by the blood of Jesus. I overcome satan by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony and I love not my life until the death. My body is for the Lord and the Lord is in my body! Now May the God of peace himself sanctify me completely and may my whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls me is faithful who also will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I surrender to you today and lift up my hands and heart in thanksgiving and praise for all you have done for me. Thank you Lord, I praise and worship your holy name. God you are absolutely good and are more than worthy to be praised. Lord, help me to be a better person to best serve you and be your ambassador so that you can make your appeal to others through me (2 Corinthians 5:20). Father Your word in 2 Chronicles 16:9 states that the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. Here I am Lord! You are my one and only God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I am loyal to only you Jesus, use me to show yourself strong in for Your honor and glory. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10). Lord, cleanse me from secret faults and keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer (Psalm 19:12-14). Father, help me to be alert and vigilant because my adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Help me to resist him, and be steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by my brotherhood in the world (Psalm 118:17). Help me Jesus, to show others, through the life I live, Your agape love, goodness, kindness and compassion so that they would be lead to repentance (Romans 2:4). I ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
