Everything that was accomplished on the cross was achieved because of the shedding of Jesus’ precious blood. There is great power in His blood. In the blood there is life and Jesus gave Himself as a perfect sacrifice for us conquering death, hell, and the grave, so that He may give us life through His precious blood.
At the cross, there were many divine exchanges that Jesus bore to grant us access to greatness through Him. According to Derek Prince Jesus received the evil due to us, that we might receive the good due to Him, he highlighted these eight divine exchanges:
1. Jesus was punished that we might be forgiven (Isaiah 53:4–5) 2. Jesus was wounded that we might be healed (Matthew 8:16–17) 3. Jesus was made sin with our sinfulness that we might be made righteous with His righteousness (Isaiah 53:10; 2 Corinthians 5:21) 4. Jesus tasted death for us that we might share His life (Hebrew 2:9) 5. Jesus was made a curse that we might receive the blessing (Galatians 3:13–14). 6. Jesus endured our poverty that we might share His abundance (2 Corinthians 8:9; 2 Corinthians 9:8; Deuteronomy 28:47–48) 7. Jesus endured our shame that we might share His glory (Matthew 27:35–36; Hebrew 2:10) 8. Jesus endured our rejection that we might have His acceptance (Matthew 27:45–51; Ephesians 1:3–6)
God put everything except Himself, under Jesus’ feet (1 Corinthians 15:27). Since we are His children, we are heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17), therefore all things were also put under our feet. Through His precious blood we have power, dominion and authority over Satan, not in and of ourselves but only through Jesus, when we repent, follow and accept Him as our Lord and savior. We are victors and not victims. We are more than conquerors through Jesus who loved us (Romans 8:37).
Through His blood we have divine protection. Pray for a hedge of protection and cover yourselves, your family and loved ones, your homes, cars and workplaces with the blood of Jesus. Ask Him to cover you with His feathers and under His wings you shall find refuge (Psalm 91:4).
There is power in His precious and holy name. God highly exalted Jesus and given him a name which is above every name and that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under earth. At the mention of His name demon’s tremble.
If you are being attacked by the enemy the simplest yet very profound thing you can do is simply say and repeat His holy name.
John 14:13-14 TPT states this timeless truth: “For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to Him.Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!” Therefore, pray and in Jesus’ Mighty Name, bring your petitions to Him and with faith believing you shall receive according to His will and plan.
To the true believers of Jesus Christ, to those who confess Jesus as Lord, believe that Jesus sacrificed his life shedding his blood and that God raised Him from the dead; those who receive Him and believe in His name, He gave them the right to become children of God, freeing us from the penalty for our sins (Romans 3:24-25 and John 1:12). Through His blood, on top of us gaining forgiveness for our sins and being reconciled with God, able to have an intimate relationship and fellowship with Him, along with all of the other exchanges on the cross depicted by Derek Prince, according to Mark 16:17-18 these miracle signs will also accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of His name; They will speak in tongues; They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous; And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them. With God all things are possible for one who believes (Matthew 19:26 and Mark 9:23).
Through Christ Jesus we can do all these amazing things and so much more only if we truly have faith and believe. John 14:12 states that we would do greater works than Jesus, since He went to His Father. In Matthew 21:21 Jesus even said that truly if you have faith, that is personal trust and confidence in Him and you do not doubt or be double minded you can say to a mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and it will be done.
Always remember because of what Jesus Christ has done for you with his blood, you now belong to Him and have been brought very near to Him (Ephesians 2:13). So do not fear or be dismayed but be strong and of good courage because the Lord, He is the One who goes before you, He will be with you, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31: 6-8). He is also our Master (John 13:13) our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14) who makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34). Thank Him daily for His sacrifice and all that he bore on the cross so that we may have life, victory, dominion, authority, and privilege in this fallen world we live in.
On resurrection day we received life for Jesus came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). At Pentecost when the disciples got baptized by the Holy Spirit in Acts 2: 1-4, they received power and boldness to testify about Jesus. If you would like to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire, see our post ‘Receive and Walk in Power’.
